Micromax Bharat 1 Review: My Opinion, Merits, And Demerits – A few days ago Jio launched a 4G feature phone, then Airtel launched a 4G android phone and now Microsoft launches a new 4G feature phone Bharat 1 4G with BSNL. In this article, I will review this phone on the basis of the specification. Also, I will compare this phone with other phones with the similar price range, as well as competitors of this phone, for example, Jio Phone and Airtel Phone.

BSNL has launched its first ever 4G feature phone with Micromax. This new feature phone Bharat 1 is priced at Rs. 2200. Bharat 1 will be available in the market from 20 October. It allows users to make the unlimited call and unlimited high-speed data at the monthly charge of Rs. 97.

Micromax is an Indian Smartphone maker company. It is one of the largest company that makes high-quality smartphones in low cost. Company headquarters located in Gurgaon Haryana. BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) is an Indian telecommunication company. it was launched on 15 September 2000. Micromax and BSNL are working together to connect people to the internet who have not connected to the internet yet.


Key Specifications Of Micromax Bharat 1 4G And Comparison With Its Rivals


Bharat 1 4G comes with many interesting features. Are this phone is better than Jio and Airtel phones? Have a look at its key specifications.


Bharat 1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 processor while Jio phone is powered by .2GHz dual-core processor and Airtel phone packed with a 1.3 GHz processor. But Bharat 1 has also had a decent processor which is one of the best affordable processors for 4G phones.


It comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA screen with the resolution of 480 pixels by 854 pixels. Jio phone has a 2.4-inch screen with the resolution of 240 pixels by 320 pixels. Airtel A40 has 4-inch touch screen display.

Storage And Memory

Along with Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 processor, the phones comes 521 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. Jio phone also has 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128 GB). While Airtel’s A40 has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 32 GB.

Operating System

There is no announcement about OS yet (Update Soon). Jio phone runs on KAI OS while Airtel phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, which is the latest version of Android.


Micromax Bharat 1 packs with a 2-megapixel camera at the rear and a VGA camera at the front. Where Jio phone has a 2-megapixel camera at the rear side and a 0.3-megapixel camera at the front. Airtel phones a 2-megapixel camera at the rear and 2-megapixel camera at the front side with flash.


Bharat 1 is dual SIM phone. Some connectivity options are voLTE, GPRS, Bluetooth, 4G, 3G, 2G, Browser and 3.5 mm audio jack. It supports 22 Indian languages and Internet Banking as well. Jio phone’s connectivity options are Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 4G, voLTE, does not support 3G SIMs, NFC and 3.5 mm audio jack. At last Airtel A40’s connectivity options are the dual sim, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, 3.5 mm audio jack, 4G, 3G, voLTE etc.


It is packed with the 2000 mAh battery which is enough for this type of phone. Jio phones also have a 2000 mAh battery and Airtel A40 has 1400 mAh battery which is not enough for a touchscreen device.


Micromax Bharat 1 has no sensors. Jio phone also has no sensors. Airtel A40 has an Accelerometer.


Micromax Bharat 1 comes with the price tag of Rs. 2200. While Jio phone’s price is Rs. 1500. Airtel (Karbonn) A40 Indian’s price is Rs. 2899.

Merits Of Micromax Bharat 1:

I’ve mentioned all the features of this phone. Now you can decide whether to buy Bharat A1 or not. But I am giving some reasons to buy this phone.

  • Supports 22 Indian Languages
  • Monthly Recharge is Rs. 97
  • Support Other SIMs (Means you are not restricted to use only BSNL SIM)

Demerits Of Micromax Bharat 1:

There is few feature that I did not like about this phone. So here are some demerits of this phone.

  • Price is high if compared to Jio Phone
  • No GPS (Jio Phone Has GPS)
  • No Wifi
